Common Ground LGBT is a 501c3 Non-profit organization. We are a community based organization primarily serving the youth and families of the LGBT population in our community. We are a group of mental health professionals who decided to create this organization in light of the recent and ongoing suicides of LGBT youth who when bullied felt that there was no other choice but to end their lives. We believe through psychological counseling, peer support, family counseling and access to educational resources they can acquire the tools needed to cope more effectively with challenges and make positive decisions in their lives. We also provide outreach and education programs to community organizations who serve LGBT youth and their families.
We primarily serve the South Houston and Galveston areas.
